Street music in Japan

Street music in Japan can be found in every major city such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, etc… Many of these musicians are Japanese however there are foreigners that come over and make very good money performing in the street.

It’s not limited to music. There’re magic shows, dance shows, poem reading, etc…

There are places like Shibuya where Japanese street performers have been discovered and end up on national TV with lucrative record deals!!! Good for them! If you see these people in the street while visiting Japan, throw a dollar in their hat and make them smile, please.
